The year started simple enough, partying with neighbors and meeting new friends. The start of a new decade loaded with hope and possibilities. Or so we thought. Fast forward to today and it has been anything but simple and hopeful has new meaning. My life has changed a great deal, although, thankfully not as negatively as it could be with the pandemic.

Work wise I have gone from full time to party time, to super full time, to resigned. That was January to May. Currently I am unemployed and trying to stay so for at least another month or two. It is somewhat dependent on our move.

We are in the process of selling our home here in Denver and moving to San Antonio, Texas. The timing here will be very interesting. We have 'lost' the house that motivated up to sell and adopt this timeline. We are still 'hopeful' that we will find something equal or better.

We, typically referring to my wife (Mary) and I. We have been together since 2007. We married in 2016. Adventure is something we both enjoy. So why not move!

The whole world is experiencing the pandemic. Coronavirus is the name of the virus. COVID-19 is the disease you can catch. It is fatal for many. Percentage wise maybe 12%? The stats are counted by country. And, states, etc. within those countries. The USA is leading with the most cases. Colorado is struggling yet doing better than Texas. Conditions change frequently. We have gone from strict measures (closing businesses, venue, services, etc.) to simple (social distancing and masks). It is just a new way of life. Not so easy or simple for people used to just doing their thing and with much less awareness of our interconnectedness.

As the holidays approach, I find that I’m actually excited—a feeling that has been elusive since my mom’s passing. The past two holiday seasons have been especially difficult. I appreciate Thanksgivin
